2007 'Nevada * Utah' Adventure!
SURVIVING HWY. 50
ACROSS NEVADA WAS OUR FIRST GOAL...
Fernley, Nv. began our trek down Hwy. 50
Where we received our first stamp in our Survival Guide.
We met the Hurricam's Car Club in Fallon, Joe & Dolores
Escorted us along Hwy. 50 to Middletown & Austin.
Then on to Eureka & Ely for a magical time...
We wound up our Hwy. 50 experience at Border Inn -
Baker, Nv. touring Lehman Caves - The Great Basin Natl Park.
"Chris & Teri with their Hwy. 50 Certificates of Survival"
A week after we arrived home, we all received our 'Certificates
of Survival' from the Governor of Nevada & our 'Official
Lapel Pins' as proof that it can be done! We are so proud
of ourselves... WE DISCOVERED THAT HWY. 50 IS A
BEAUTIFUL HIGHWAY! And... WE SURVIVED!!
Utah... was simply breathtaking!
Red Canyon*Dixie National Forest
Waterfall outside The Slot Canyon Inn
Hiking Slot Canyon Pierre, Vivian, Barnita, Joe & Bonnie
Overlooking Tropic, Utah from the ridge at Bryce Canyon

An ATV ride... where Sharon "Lost her groove!!"
but she survived!!
We all lost our groove on the "Road to Boulder"
what an amazing experience... what a road !!
and yet... we survived!!

Leaving Utah & traveling from Hwy 89 across Hwy 14
was another spectacular Scenic Route we choose for
our tremendous adventure!! And again we survived!
On our way home we stayed at The Little Ale'inn
AREA 51!!! Unusual is the word for the day!!
AND... YET - WE SURVIVED!!
David and a Bad Boy at AREA 52 (?)
Exploring Hwy 120 from Benton Hot Springs to Mono Lake
at Lee Vining, CA is an experience you don't want to miss!!
Hwy 120 itself is a true whoopdedoo!! AND AN EXCITING
ROAD TO TRAVEL JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT!!
AND THE TUFAS AT MONO LAKE ARE TRULY AMAZING!
Lee Vining & The Whoa Nellie Deli!!
Great Food at a Gas Station!! And Mono Lake is
an exceptionally beautiful background for the small town.
We attempted to take Hwy 120 through Yosemite
but decided that we'd like to survive... we opted for
a less 'snowy' way home...
We did Survive & We loved
the ADVENTURE!

SNAZZY!
Crossing Lolo Pass at only 5,233' evelvation - caused us to expect less than we got... Hwy. 12 is a winding beautiful highway that is unexplainable ... you must explore it for yourself. A truly exceptional drive & our Corvettes loved it!
